Meet the Founder of Shattered Ministries
There was a time when Matthew David Shaw was completely out of hope. His life felt shattered, his spirit empty, and his future uncertain. One day, at the very end of his rope, everything changed in an instant. Matthew was involved in a horrific car accident so severe that first responders had to use the Jaws of Life to pull his crushed body from the wreckage. As he bled heavily and drifted in and out of consciousness, he knew he was moments from death.
Yet God stepped in.
Against every odd and every prediction, Matthew survived. What should have ended his life became the moment God restored it. The long and painful recovery that followed became a journey of revelation — a time where Matthew experienced firsthand the mercy, power, and purpose of Jesus Christ. He realized that he had been spared for a reason far greater than himself.
That miracle ignited his calling.
Today, Matthew ministers to those who feel trapped, broken, addicted, or forgotten — because he intimately knows what it feels like to stand on the edge of despair. Through Shattered Ministries, he carries the message that saved him:
God sees you. God loves you. And God has not given up on you.
Matthew now walks boldly into bars, streets, and places where hope is often hard to find, offering the same grace that pulled him out of the wreckage. His life is living proof that God still performs miracles, still redeems the broken, and still resurrects what the enemy tried to destroy.
His mission is simple:
Reach the hurting. Restore the lost. Remind the hopeless that Jesus is still in the business of saving lives — because He saved his.
